Apple iPad 3 is dead, live long iPad HD

With so many rumors going all over the internet, it is now confirmed that new iPad will be named as iPad HD by Apple.According to sources, the next iPad will lose the conventional numbering system and instead tout the devices Retina display. With a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, the new iPad should not only be able to destroy the 720P Android competition in terms of video quality but also offer full 1080P playback on a tablet. In fact, that would make it the only tablet on the market with that feature.

There’s a big rumor on web about yet to be released Microsoft office app for iPads. The daily, which is the source of this buzz have put a picture of an iPad with Microsoft office app is opened and then rumor started to fire all over the world. According to The daily, Microsoft office app will be submitting to the approval by Apple and will be released in the coming weeks.

Replying to this story, Microsoft spokesperson said that the Daily story is based on inaccurate rumors and speculation. However they have not yet denied about making an office package for iPads. Replying to the denial by Microsoft, Peter Ha, tech editor at The Daily, said that a Microsoft employee had demonstrated a version of the app on an iPad. “The launch screen may not be final, but the app itself is real,” Mr. Ha said. “We were told that the app was done and it was being tested internally.” However, with these rumors buzzing, we can hope for a Microsoft office package for iPads in this year.

March 7 - iPad 3 release date

According to sources, Apple currently plans to hold their iPad 3 announcement on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. As March 7 is also a Wednesday, it seems to be believable enough to be the iPad 3 launch date. The reason is that  it was a Wednesday when Apple announced iPad 1 and iPad 2 too and this day has been a traditional one for the Cupertino  Company to hold such events.

There are rumors going around that the iPad 3 will see a higher resolution screen than its predecessors, with Sharp’s IGZO panel purportedly being the one that your eyes will meet when you unwrap and power on the iPad 3 for the first time. Apart from that, there is also the possibility of 4G connectivity for US high-speed networks being thrown into the mix. Other rumors claim a quad-core processor – which is a vast improvement over the dual-core A5 processor that we see in the current iPad model.
